WiseGrasshopper is very concerned about your privacy. WiseGrasshopper has established this Privacy Policy (hereafter: Policy) to help clarify how your information is collected, what purposes it is used for, and how it is kept safe from unintended uses. WiseGrasshopper retains the right to update this Policy from time to time, without notice and for any reason. 1. General Privacy Policies
In general, WiseGrasshopper prefers to make any and all efforts it deems as reasonable to protect its users’ data. WiseGrasshopper hides email addresses of its users using hyperlinks, which reduces spam and collection of emails by 3rd parties. WiseGrasshopper uses password protection for its accounts, and encourages its users to protect their password. Login information is not stored upon the closing of a web browser, meaning users will have to log in again if they close their browser. WiseGrasshopper does not knowingly collect any information from minors (people below the age of 18). WiseGrasshopper does not knowingly share your information with 3rd parties for marketing purposes. The exception is through search engines that may find your information and display them for their users who may have searched ‘guitar lessons Philadelphia’ and found your listing on WiseGrasshopper. WiseGrasshopper (a) does not profit from these searches, (b) feels that its users benefit from these searches, (c) feels that these searches do not violate the privacy of our users, and therefore (d) allows these searches with good intentions, as it is essentially the function of WiseGrasshopper to publicize these particular listings. WiseGrasshopper cannot guarantee the safety of any 3rd party links that are found on the Service, and encourages its users to maintain a healthy level of caution when clicking on a link found on WiseGrasshopper.
2. Data used by WiseGrasshopper
WiseGrasshopper retains the right to gather, collect, archive, and use any data submitted by its users for any reason, with the generally accepted caveats in part 1. This information may include, but is not limited to: names, email addresses, addresses, user accounts, passwords, some demographic data, geographic data, credit card information, IP Address, URL’s, timestamps, and other identifiers. These data may be stored by WiseGrasshopper on a secure server. In general, credit card and other potentially sensitive information is not stored, but rather filtered through a 3rd party secure payment service. WiseGrasshopper’s goal is to make every reasonable effort to protect these data; however WiseGrasshopper does not realistically guarantee absolute security of these data, and instead encourages its users to exercise every caution in taking common sense approaches. These include not responding to phishing emails asking them to log in to their WiseGrasshopper account, give out any personal information, or especially to give any credit card or other financial information.
3. Releasing Your Data
WiseGrasshopper retains the right to release any information or data to address issues of legality or in an effort to address potential violations of our Terms of Use. WiseGrasshopper may also release these data to law enforcement officials, to respond to any legal claims (including but not limited to: subpoenas and court orders) or as a result of being required to do so by law in some other capacity.
4. World Wide Transmission of Data
WiseGrasshopper transmits information on the world wide web, and as a result, your information may be broadcast beyond your general geographic area. WiseGrasshopper reserves the right to store your data on servers in or outside the United States.
